Still at Southside Gallery

This past Friday was the opening reception for my first solo show with Southside Gallery. Thank you so much to Wil Cook and the Southside team for the warm welcome and lovely reception! The gallery is absolutely beautiful, and everyone I met was so kind. There are about 50 new paintings in the show; take a look at some of the pieces below or, if you're nearby, head over to Oxford, MS and see it in person. The show is up through May 27th.

Installation Photos at Earlham College

Thanks for walking through my two-person show with Lauren Darrouzet at Earlham College. This was so fun to put together - I love seeing the visual connections between her metalwork and my paintings. The colors and shapes harmonize so interestingly in the gallery.

Blue Christmas

Portal, 2022, oil on paper on panel, 14x14"

Hold, 2022, oil on paper on panel, 14x14"

Cobalt, 2022, oil on paper on panel, 14x14"

Split Plane, 2022, oil on paper on panel, 14x14"

These four pieces will be on display at Southside Gallery for the month of December in their Blue Christmas exhibition. If you're near Oxford, MS, please stop by! I'm delighted to be part of this group show and especially happy to have the chance to show these new paintings.

I'm working on a new body of work for a solo show with Southside next May, and I can't wait to share that work with all of you. Exciting things are happening in the studio! We're scaling up... and down... playing with new color palettes and old favorites... and exploring some new and challenging subject matter.

In the meantime, I wish you all safe holidays full of joy and peace. See you in the new year.

Upcoming Events

I'm honored to have two pieces included in this show - one of which is being used for the exhibition postcard! Thanks to Carrie Johnson and Frances Downey at the Rockford Art Museum, and Frank Juarez for this wonderful opportunity.

Chicago friends, the Biennial opens this coming Friday, October 7th. Please stop by!

My studio mates and I are participating in this year's Made In Camp event, sponsored by Wave Pool Gallery. I'll be giving a pastel demo in my studio in the afternoon on Saturday October 8th; Cincinnati friends, I'd love to see you there.
