Sketch Party

Matt, Allen, Stephanie, and Murphy came to draw in my studio Friday night.

Everyone took turns drawing Allen in my sketchbook (except Murphy. We're still teaching him how to hold a pencil.) Above is Matt's sketch (left) and Allen's self portrait (right).

Progress

Here's a look at how the brush painting progressed this week. This was after two or three sessions.

I had a great studio day yesterday; I made good progress on this little painting.

Also, this is how I ended up resolving the painting I started over winter break. The paint rags were very satisfying to observe. I'm looking forward to trying another rag painting soon. "Touch" 2013, oil on canvas, 36" x 36".
