I'm honored to be contributing this piece to this year's Art For Life auction: an annual event that raises funds for Chicagoland organizations that help those in the community living with and/or who are vulnerable to HIV/AIDS.
Early tickets are available at a discount here; the silent auction will be live on October 2nd. You can bid on available work online before the event on October 12th; check out the Art for Life Chicago website for more information. https://diffachicago.org/art-for-life-chicago/
Delicate Ecologies, 2023, oil on paper on panel, 14x14"
Here's a sneak peek at a brand new painting. This was a fun one - there was something so mesmerizing about the green tape and the way it flickered in and out of focus behind the bubble wrap.
Jaime's Bowl, 2023, chalk pastel on paper, 22x22"
I loved working on this commission - the clients wanted a particular terra cotta color matched on the paper below the bowl... and if you know me, then you know color matching is one of my most favorite things ever. I had the best time mixing color swatches in order to get the flavor just right. Such a fun project.
I've been documenting and retouching a set of recent paintings, in preparation for an upcoming solo show this May. Here's a sneak peek at three of my current favorites. Enjoy!
