A year ago, I made a painting of my studio rather creatively titled "Studio, November." (See image below.)
I didn't know it then, but those gesso marks on the floor in the foreground were actually the beginning of the work I am making now. A year later, I'm still painting the interior of my studio; however, my observational skills have improved and I find myself understanding what I see much better these days. I'm excited to see what these paintings will become a year from now. Allons-y.

New Work
There is something so satisfying about taking the tape off of paintings once they are finished. ( I should say, once I stop working on them. Paintings are never 'finished.') I plan to return to this mirror idea in a few paintings, but for now, I have big plans for that pile of stretcher bars.
